I always wondered how life inside the pipelines would look like. It must be an uneasy task to calculate the amount of space occupied by all these networks of oil flows. One thing is certain: it must be a lot. Imagine that one day they are all drained, what will happen inside all these pipes? Kilometers and kilometers of empty space, running through different layers of earth, slowly will be inhabited by creatures that will bring to us the memory of insurgency. Memories of a Pipeline tells the story of these creatures trough the pictures of oil cities folded on top of a mirror. In front of them stands Partexoide, member of the family of Petro-Mongoloidus remains of which were found at the garden of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Oil was the main nourishment of this specie extinguished 100 000 years ago.
